New Principal at Hague High

The Hague High School has recently encountered a new principal this fall term, Mrs. Mitilla, from Martensville High School.  She has accomplished a French emersion teaching degree, along with current hopes for her master’s degree. She was previously a teacher librarian, programming developer and an E teacher for Credenda.  She came to Hague High School for she believed it was a great opportunity, with her first impressions being “lively” at her June tour, and “very quiet” when she visited in the summer.  She applied a few immediate rules, that all came out of the idea of respect. Respecting each other, ourselves, and the environment. She has huge plans to develop healthy citizens, character education, and more student ambition. She interacts with the students, and is going to continue a relationship with them by involving them and using their ideas around the school. Mrs.Mitilla believes being a model of respect and “being here” for the students is the best quality a principal should have. When asked how she enjoys being a principal, she responded, “Greatest job in the world, I love it!” Outside of school she enjoys cooking and traveling, with her husband and twelve-year old daughter. Mrs.Mitilla has high hopes for Hague High School, and many plans for it.

  1. Great article Madisson. Thanks for getting this done, I hadn't even realised that you already converted the interview into a article.
