What is cool?

My definition of cool: I believe cool, not as in a temperature, does not have an exact definition. I do believe though is it very similar to the word popular. Popular: regarded with favor, approval, or affection by an acquaintance or acquaintances. Being cool means your liked by your peers, and are a role model to those younger than you. Sometimes, especialy teenagers, people do things that they would not usually do just to be considered cool. For example: smoking, drinking, partying, ect.

Examples of cool: The picture to the right is a group of popular/cool girls from the movie Mean Girls. I chose this picture to represent what cool is in my pop culture. We consider nice clothes, money, and beauty cool. Some also consider such activites as smoking, drinking, and piercings cool. I show this in the picture below.

Those examples are quite negative examples of cool. A positive example of cool is teenagers who are liked by many people due to what they do, such as helping out, organizing activities, do well in school, and have good morals. To the lower right is an example of cool kids, who don't try to fit in.
